Card inspiration with Two Paper Divas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Two Paper Divas new post.
This time I made a couple of card  using TPD stamps   for different, not so usual occasions.
The first card is a general card with the " SEW HAPPY FOR YOU" sentiment.
I used SEW MUCH FUN  new  stamp set and arranged the images over the vertical cardstock stripe. Each image was stamped over patterned cardstock with black ink and heat embossed with clear powder.
The sentiment was stamped with permanent ink over the card front.

The second card is for Graduation and I used this YOU DID IT set for the sentiment and DV dies for the whole card combo.

See you next week with more Two Paper Divas inspiration!

Holiday project with Art Anthology

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here again and this is my small altered Christmas project for your inspiration. I altered the non branded wooden boot in non- traditional Christmas colors using all possible Art Anthology paints , stencils and sprays.
This is an easy to do project and if you don't find the similar wooden shape you can easily hand cut one from chipboard as the web is full of such templates.

The full step by step tutorial can be found on Snapguide site HERE:
Check out How to Alter Wooden Christmas Boot by Art Anthology on Snapguide.

I really hope that you liked my step by step tutorial and will try some non- traditional Christmas colors on your own projects. As you all know we have all possible paints, sprays and stencils in Art Anthology shop and you just need to pick your favorites! See you soon again!

And some close-m ups for your inspiration:

Masculine layout tutorial with Papericious

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here with my November tutorial made for Papericious friends and this time I made a layout tuorial for masculine layout.
Making maskuline projects are usually harder than feminine ones.
Even with a gorgeous paper collection you still are out of usual embellishments and you need to think a bit out of the box.
So let me show you how to make this lovely layout with two 6*4'' photos and with a bit of chipboard add- ons only.
I am totally sorry for the bad lighting during the tutorial steps, but that's it. I can't change it after the page is done. The final photos that were maid another day are  much better.

Step by step tutorial:

1.Arrange two cardstock from  The Gentleman collection as shown. Distress the edges with sand paper and ink them with black ink. Glue one cardstock over another as shown.

2. Make cardstock matting for both photos and ink the matting's edges.
Adhere the photos over the matting with 3d foam glue for the dimension.

3. Cu a few cardstock strips and arrange them over the first two cardstocks using 3d foam glue.

4.Use diamonds stencil and texture paste and add the paste over the stencil around the page edges. Let it dry!

5. Glue the photos and outline the diamonds shapes with black pen. It sure takes some time, but we need to add some shades to this page.

6. Paint the diamond chipboard with black paint and add around the page as shown.

7. Cut the clock. Best Dad ever tag and Best Dad circle from the patterned cardstock and glue them over the page.

And this is a final page with more chipboards added around making some eye moving to the elements and a kind of journalling too.
This is my oldest son and his first born son. He sure is the best Dad ever (when he is home as he is an Army colonel)

And as the The Gentlemen collection was already on my desk I added a lovely masculine card  to this post.

Lesia Zgharda Design team call try out

It was quite a long time since I tried any stamp company design team call and even longer since I designed for any challenge blog.
But as a couple of my design teams are very close to the end and for some I already design for 2-3 years, it's a time to try a new adventure.
So when I found this new  design team call for Zgharda Challenge Design Team  and it is opened for International designers (limited, but still open), I decided to give it a shot.
I think that I need this new challenge /stamp company  as my stamping mojo is a bit dull and I really love the stamps in their shop.
I also think that my experience with print publications (like 175 print publication just this year ) can be a WIN- WIN situation for both of us.

So here is a gallery of my stamped projects of different kinds as the big showcase and I am not going to add too much wording, but just a few single words about each and every project.
I tried to add all possible style that I work with and different kinds of projects, such as layouts, cards, tags, altered art, journal pages and everything in between.
I mostly added the projects that were already print published during 2015-2016 and I think that those are my very best ones.
This journal page was already in print in Rubber Stamp Madness magazine: Mixed Media with a lot of stamping using stamps from different companies.

This  steampunk piece that was in print in Rubber Stamp Madness magazine: the whole background is totally stamped with lots of different stamps.

This card was already published in Just Cards! print magazine and I made my own background stamp here using the red rubber leftovers

This  Mixed Media card was already published in UK Craft Stamper print magazine:

Altered window that was already in print in Rubber Stamp Madness magazine and everything, but letters are stamped.

So I can add more and more, but I think that those pieces show my style/s in a perfect way.
And I hope those are good for this call and cross my fingers to make this great team!
Thanks for looking!

Stamping on vellum card tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last November tutorial made for Susan K Weckesser blog.
I didn't make step by step photos this time, so it's just the step that you can do to make this fancy card.
1. Make the basic card with stitched rectangle die and Susan's Live in color cardstock.(Use the back side for this card)
Add another layer die cut in smaller size using Susan's Colorburst cardstock.(Use back side again)
2. Die cut the third rectangle and die cut the honeycomb using Sizzix die. Glue the die cut layer as your third layer.
3.Make yellow cardstock matting and the diagonal cardstock layer and glue them over the first three layers.
4. Stamp the Susan's co- branded with Unity sentiment from In my garden stamp set with black pigmented ink and heat emboss with clear powder. Die cut the sentiment and make a yellow circled matting using Die Versions stitched nested dies. Glue the sentiment over the card as shown.
5. Stamp the big flowers over clear vellum from the same stamp set in the same way and hand cut them. Color the flowers with Susan's inks from Clearsnap using them as water colors (Kiss, Fresh and Snow).
Glue the flowers with clear glaze and cover them with a  glaze layer.
6. Add some rhinestones and three yellow circles around the card. Make faux stitching as shown with black pen.

Cooking party with BoBunny

Hello my dear crafty welcome to welcome to my Cooking Party post  with BoBunny today!
I am not a party decorations person at all. I add some flowers, balloons and good vibes to my parties and never decorated it in a proper crafting style.
So making this post made me think about all good decorations lost in the past and now I am going to make some for the future parties. And this Cooking party should be the first!
So here is a whole bunch of projects made with  mostly one single Kiss the Cook new BoBunny collection and with some (a lot) of Pentart  products used to add the colors and the textures to those projects.
As you can see I made a hanging sign, a standing Home sign, small standing sign, altered decorated wooden kitchen board, double sided standing chalkboard and I also added some tags to those cute small milk bottles that are so trendy as the drinking glasses.

Here is another shot of the  whole collection:

And now let me show you the single projects and let's see how  you can make them at home.
The hanging sign is 3 piece wooden sign that was covered with Pentart Decor paint Primer. Then I used Lace Stickable stencil with Structure paste on the wood; not much is seen after the decoration, but you still can see a bit on the top corner of this piece. After drying time I painted all three pieces with Pentart Decor Paint Soft Country Green and then covered it with Decor Paint Varnish. Again, it was more for the shiny effect as not much is seen after all.
The whole piece was embellished with Misc Me Kiss the Cook pieces, stickers from Combo stickers and a couple of flowers made with brads.

Now the front part of my double sided chalkboard (the back side is actually blank and I am going to use a chalk for my lists/recipes/etc).
This piece was already painted, but if not- Pentart Chalkboard paint can be used for this matter.
I added some paper strips, made the stickers title, added a few stickers and a piece of foil vellum.
The smallest possible gold dots around the vellum piece and over the arrow were made with this most delicate Gold Contour Liner.

The bare wooden kitchen board was painted in the same way as the previous piece (Primer- decor paint-varnish) and I used the same  Lace stencil over it, but again, when it was embellished, not much of the paint is seen.
I used paper cuts and Misc Me piece to embellish this board. The sentiment over the Misc Me card that was telling us about the licking spoon happiness was my inspiration for this altered regular old kitchen spoon.
It had light green plastic handle and was silver color that were not a good fit for my project. So with a little help of my painty friends (aka Pentart products) I changed the colors to this red and gold and the spoon was just Perfect!
First I covered the plastic part with Acrylic primer and then painted in this primitive, not so accurate way, with Red acrylic. The silver part was painted with Gold Liquid Metal paint and believe me, this is the best ever paint for metals! Fast dry and full coverage in just a few seconds will make any metal piece shiny gold, or silver or copper. Just pick your paint and go!

The Home wooden sign was painted in the same way as two previous pieces and embellished mostly with stickers. I decided to make this red dotted matting to help this light piece to stand.

And now yo the small pieces I made with some left overs that were already on my crafty table.
I added a small sticker over the black office clips and made a nice cluster for the stickers, paper and vellum.
Using BoBunny Tags dies I added  tags to those small milk bottles.

I hope that you like my party bonanza and hope that you will try to make some Cooking Party crafts too.

Fall votive Makin's Clay tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my October Fall votive tutorial made for you  with Makin's Clay products.
First I need to say that I meant to make a clay covered fall bangle. I opened the bangle and it was so tiny to wear that I decided to go to Plan B and to use the wooden base as my glass candle votive holder. And yes, Plan B actually worked.
So here is my tutorial for you and I hope that you will always keep Plan B in your crafty mind.

Step by step tutorial:
1. Use your Makin's Clay  Ultimate Clay Extruder and mix a pretty big piece of Makin's Clay in Natural, Light Adobe and Merlot colors and a basic medium size round hole disc. Don't try to make the roll very pretty as we are going to flatten it and the to paint over it.

2. Cover the wooden bare bangle with the extruded clay all around. On some point I was out of Merlot clay and I just covered with a lighter color. Again, the actual color is not seen on the finished project.
Here is a bangle I used:

And this is how the bangle looks after the full clay coverage:

2. Use Makin's Clay Ultimate Clay Machine  to roll three piece of clay in Yellow and Peach colors using setting 5 and let the clay pieces to dry as we are going to die cut them later.
3. Make Olive clay leave using Makin's Clay Leaves push mold and let them dry.

4. And this is a step with a new technique I never saw before.
I tried to die cut the dry clay sheet with the very delicate die and it was a mess.
So I decided to make an experiment and to die cut it with two layers and Bingo! It worked.
So let me show you the technique of die cutting clay sheet with a very delicate die.
First make a cut and do not even try to  pull the cut shape out of the die.

Put the die with the first clay layer in it over the second sheet of dry clay and now die cut  both layers.

And now the big surprise: you can take the clay cut out of the die and it has two gorgeous layers!
OK, you also need to clean the die and this is another story.

So here are just a few more leaves I made with the same technique:

5. Paint the votive and  all the die cut and mold leaves with a mix of gel medium based paint. I used Art Anthology paints, but any gel medium based paint will work.
First I painted the base with two colors of paint and you can already see the yellow glass votive inside the bangle. I was very happy to find one that was a perfect fit for the bangle size.

And now paint all leaves with more colors:

6. Let the paint dry and arrange the leaves of both kinds over the clay base using Beacon's Adhesives 3 in 1 glue. As  you can see the leaves cluster is  not  flat and there are layers of leaves glued one over another.

And the other side of the cluster:

And the  entire votive with the candle inside:

And that's how nice it looks on my vintage things table:
