Visible Image Friday: make you layout stamped background

This page was spotlighted in Prima blog!
Hello, my dear stamping friends! Today I am going to show you my layout with a totally handmade background using Visible Image stamps and some masks and I really like the final result.
The background paper was a kind of light peach one and the small paper pieces are Prima, but as you can see it's hardly seen on my finished page.
First I used some masks with black and white gesso, then I stamped the frame with Visible Image Grunge  Flourish  stamp . One side  of this stamp has just this distressed look, so I made my stamping around the page with this edge and clear embossing powder and then heat embossed it all with black embossing powder. Then I stamped Grunge Polka Dot Background around the page and heat embossed them with purple embossing powder. Black Mememto was an ink to make some random stamping with the Flourish  part of the first stamp and the script is a part of Men's Collage stamp.
But as you can see all page was heavily misted (please, don't ask for mist colors names, it's just " take whatever you have and fit your  page and spray it around" technique).
After my background was made and dry I made the actual page in my usual messy style using a lot of Prima goodies, A2Z Scraplets chipboards (all misted) and some Handmade Halo lace (it was in this perfect peach color, but I changed it to " no name" color after all.
As you can see on this close up.

And now for some Tips on Friday:
Don't afraid to make you own backgrounds. Maximum you  used a piece of cardstock and some inks and mists.  If you don't like it you can make another one. The cost is close to zero.
Use parts of your stamps as you never know what will be seen after all if it's a scrapbooking page.
Let it dry! Let it dry a lot unless you want your glue to become useless (as it was with my page).
And the last tip for today: you never know  the final colors of your misted project. Just try to stick to you photo colors and colors of embellishments you want to use. But if not- just mist you embellishments as well (I did it with black flowers that were in other color)

Hope you got some inspiration  from this piece and now jump to Visible Image shop to get you some great and non expensive stamps. New releases are just around the corner! See you next Friday with more Visible Image inspiration!
